In 2026, we invite you on three rare journeys into the wild. Follow the path of bisons in Romania in a curated retreat that brings together experience design, nature immersion and wildlife tracking. Where wilderness, rewilding, and tracking meet.
A 6-nights immersive journey into Europe’s last great wilds – where bison roam and presence returns – in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania.
A Retreat for Nature-Connected Professionals: If you work in tourism, education, or the impact sector – dedicating your time and energy to positive change for people and planet. This 6-night immersive retreat offers hands-on tools to grow your impact and skillset, while giving you space to recharge and deepen your relationship to the natural world.
Reconnect with Nature: Take a break from everyday life and disconnect to reconnect with the natural world. That alone will bring wisdom and clarity on its own.
Elevate Your Work: Learn captivating skills like wildlife tracking and bushcraft that create unforgettable experiences. Explore Impact Experience Design (IXD) while also living it firsthand through the retreat itself, offering a direct experience that can serve as a stepping stone for your own practice.

Facilitator & Co-Host:
Anne Merkle is the Global Innovation Lead at WWF and the founder of the Order of the Wild (wild.community), a movement dedicated to bringing extraordinary nature experiences to the world.
She has guided groups from CEOs to pupils over the past 10 years and loves weaving individual, group, and nature time.
Tracker & Co-Host:
Caspar Brown, Facilitator, bushcraft teacher, tracker, and regenerative systems guide. He worked closely with renowned earth skills teacher Lynx Vilden, immersing himself in primitive living and ancestral technologies. His tracking practice is rooted in years of studying movement, pattern, and presence across wild landscapes – from the spoor of bison to the subtle language of the forest floor. He brings a warm fire of curiosity, reverence, and grounded wisdom to every gathering.

Born from WWF Romania and rooted in local community, WeWilder is a social enterprise reimagining conservation through rewilding and rural regeneration. Set in Armeniș, where over 190 free-roaming bison shape the land, it’s a place where people and nature meet in reciprocity.
